FOUNDATION COURSE LEVEL 1
UPDATE
July 2010 saw the end of another successful BWY Foundation Level 1
course. All the students did extremely well and thoroughly enjoyed the
intensive retreat in UK.
PLEASE NOTE:
Because of my forthcoming trip to New Zealand I will not be commencing a
Level 1 course during 2011.

FURTHER STUDIES COURSE LEVEL 2
Feb
2011 – July 2011
Introductory Day 30th October 2010
Have you finished Level 1 and feel at a bit of a loss?
Do you miss being with a like-minded group?
Would
you like to go on and further your study of Yoga?
Aims:
The course aims to provide an environment in which you can continue to
further your personal development and encourage a deeper level of
concentration, meditation and inner stillness through all aspects of
safe Yoga practices and the study of philosophical texts.
This is a course I’ve developed as a result of my several years
experience of running successful BWY Foundation courses at levels 1 &
2. I’ve modified this course to include more personal in-depth study
and flexibility than in level 1. Andrew who is an NLP practitioner,
trainer, business coach and musician will be assisting me with the
course.
Who is the course for?
The course is suitable for serious students who have a basic foundation
in yoga, or may be student teachers, or anyone who wishes to join a
like-minded group over half a year, in order to continue or renew their
personal study of this wonderful subject.
Dates, Times & Venue:
The course will take place
one Saturday a month 10am-5pm,
at my home in the lovely Roman market town of Cirencester,
Gloucestershire. Easily accessible from M4, M5 & Oxford.
30th October 2010 - Introductory Day
26th February 2011
19th March 2011
2nd April 2011
7th May 2011
11th June 2011
2nd July 2011
Please note
- If there is sufficient demand from the group it may be possible to add
a
retreat in France
on to the end of the course, but this is not at present included into
the course.
Cost:
In view of the current economic climate that we are faced with today I
have structured this course in a way to help reduce the costs (eg. hall
and retreat hire etc). As a result I am delighted to offer a high
quality 7 day course at the incredible price of only £285. Full
payment is required or a deposit of £50 to secure your place.
Please note - There are now only 2 spaces available so don’t delay, get
in touch right away if you think you might be interested.

What Students Have Said:
“I went to my first diploma introduction day yesterday . . . I am so
pleased to have taken the foundation course first. Apart from being a
really interesting and enjoyable course, it has already proved
invaluable for my diploma study - so I just wanted to say a big thank
you for that! . . .I think I have come a long way on my yoga journey
from when I first sat with you for my foundation course interview - much
of that is down to you and your teaching and I appreciate the chance you
gave me to attend the course.”

'The Journey'
by Julie Armstrong (FC1 student)
She drifts,
feels shifts
both inside and
outside
her.
She is there, and is
not, gone inwards,
beyond thought
through skies of her
mind, to find,
the path, the way,
the ‘still point of
the turning world,’
to balance, mind,
body, spirit,
to be
a pin prick,
burning
globe of
hot gas,
gazing
forwards yet backwards
in time,
listening
to earth pulse,
being
cocooned
into herself,
she journeys
to this place,
returns
anew.

“The
retreat was a wonderful immersion into all aspects of yoga and has
had a profound effect on my understanding, integration of my
learning and establishing my regular yoga practice in every way.
Without the retreat I don’t think I would have got nearly so much
from the course!
“I
have enjoyed the style in which Jan has taught the syllabus and her
encouragement of our participation in every aspect of our learning
process.”
